aspiring SFF novelist

About

I'm a novelist expecting to start seeking agency representation by the end of the year. I write speculative fiction that explores how extraordinary situations would affect ordinary people.

What I’m Writing

I'm currently revising Firewalls, a novel about a man who gains the ability to talk directly to computers. He leverages it to join the tech industry, and then needs to navigate the wild world of the 2010s ZIRP tech bubble while attempting to hide that he has no actual technical acumen, only the ability to tell computers to generate code themselves.

I'm also drafting a currently-untitled fantasy novel about a woman who would do anything to stand out, who finds herself thrust into the upper echelons of her world's dominant religion after accidentally fulfilling a prophecy, only to discover that the religion is simultaneously completely real, and nothing like it's portrayed - giving her the opportunity to rewrite society as she wishes, as long as she doesn't destabilize the whole thing in the process.

More to come.
